Review Site Plan Requirements
Meet the Requirements to Connect to the Water System
If your project requires a new or modified water connection, you must submit site plans for review before construction begins. Plans must be signed and sealed by a licensed JCMUA Professional Engineer.

Welcome to the Jersey City Municipal Utility Authority’s center for permits, licenses and applications. These vary and can range from getting a pet license to a construction permit, and everything in-between! As a businessperson, community representative, homeowner or commercial property owner seeking a permit, license and/or application for your project or event, you can find applications and contact information to get started here. Information pertaining to the permit, license and/or application process and payment must be obtained directly from the respective City Division as indicated below

- Bid must be placed in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the bid or contract number and name
- Proposal must be filed at Procurement at the above address prior to the bid opening time and date as stated in the advertisement and noted on the bid or contract document and the bid envelope
